RAQUEL SOBLECHERO
Raquel Soblechero, experience and flamenco dance on stage
Raquel Soblechero is a dancer whose career has developed among companies, dance productions and flamenco stages. Her career reflects a stage training tied to ensemble work and to productions in which flamenco is presented through carefully crafted choreography, without losing the expressive force of the dance itself.
One of the first documented works of her career is her participation in Flamenco a bocajarro, a show by Blanca del Rey premiered at the Festival de Jerez and later presented on other stages. That production brought together a large cast of dancers, singers and guitarists around different flamenco palos.
From the flamenco repertoire to the Compañía Antonio Gades
Over the years, Raquel Soblechero has remained involved in large-scale productions. In 2025 she was part of the corps de ballet of Carmen, by the Compañía Antonio Gades, one of the most emblematic works created by Antonio Gades and Carlos Saura.
Her participation in this production places her within a repertoire that combines flamenco, Spanish dance, dramaturgy and the demanding discipline of a company. Carmen has toured international stages for decades and remains a reference in Spanish dance.
Raquel Soblechero at Tablao La Carmela
Moving from a choreographed production to the space of the tablao requires a different way of relating to the stage. In the tablao, the dance is built very close to the audience, and the response to the cante and the guitar takes on special prominence.
The experience Raquel Soblechero has accumulated in companies and repertoire productions brings precision, presence and knowledge of stage language to this context.
A career built on company work
Her path shows the importance of the corps de ballet in great flamenco productions: work in which individual technique must coexist with coordination, musicality and a collective reading of the stage.
At Tablao La Carmela, that experience finds a more immediate format, where every gesture, every marcaje and every response to the compás can be seen up close.
